That's why I am gonna visit Jiun Ee when he's in the hospital in December.
For those of you that don' t know, Low Jiun Ee has been diagnosed with Scoliosis,
a spinal defect.

He will be warded on the 18th while his operation is on the 22nd of December.
He advised us to visit him on the days after the operation, like the 23rd/24th.

I really hope all those from our former class of 5M
will come up with a plan to be free on those 2 days to visit him.
As old classmates, we at least owe him that much.

Pain, Adrenaline, A feeling of Content

Today, us Rover scouts visited Bukit Tabor, one of Malaysia's toughest hiking areas.

Initially I though it would be just an average mountain that wouldn't pose much of a threat.
I was wrong.
Bukit Tabor was so frikkin' hard!!!

I fell several times, had to climb rock walls that were almost 85% vertical, hang on for dear life when I had to rappel down, and I almost fell to my doom. Almost.

I never went mountain climbing and hiking before, so yeah, this was harsh.

Bu tit was worth it. An adventure unlike any other I've been to before. It was tiring, but I appreciate it now when I look back at it.

Here's some pics I took using my phone's camera. One of my friends that used his camera will e-mail me those pics sometime soon.

Till then, this is all I have.

Eternal Dreams

That's the name of my novel.

Yes, I've been working on my own novel for the past 4 years,
starting from the first one written in a buku latihan
to the infamous thick-covered books I wrote and carried along almost everywhere.

I'm not sure whether I'm gonna publish it anytime soon,

who has sung over 50 songs in her whole career,
ranging from R&B to Hip-Hop to Trance music.
Think she's extremely talented?

Here's the catch. She's not real.

Yes, you heard me.

She's 100% digital.

Her voice is based on a real person, though.

Miku is one of the avatars for the revolutionary software by Yamaha Music called
Vocaloid. It's been out for quite awhile, you see. The 3rd edition came out not long ago.

Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application software developed by the Yamaha Corporation that enables users to synthesize singing by just typing in lyrics and the melody.

No, not like all those God-forsaken times before.
I was called irritating. Hmph, that brings back memories.

The last significant time someone called me that was my cousin,
when she sms-ed her friends and called me guo fun. That's Cantonese for "sickening", I think.

Y'know what? I don't give a goddamn bother anymore.
I had it until here with being kicked
and quietly insulted all my life. I'm sick of it all.

I am under enough stress today as it is already.
My house's Astro broke. I haven't studied for my driving test yet.
You calling me irritating isn't helping me one damn bit.

No, I'm not as bad as 2 others in my school that people just loathe and get sickened by.
No, I don't purposely cling onto others like a leech,
or annoy people with the constant nonsense that comes out of my mouth.
I am not as bad as them.
But it sure aint no fucking consolation to be thought of as 3rd place, now does it?!

How many times have I held myself back?
How many times have I tried not to start a uranium-tipped uproar,
when I am bloody famous for them?

Joyful Blues

Today is the 14th of February.
Valentine's Day.

No, this is not an emo rant. I'm not in Form 4 anymore, remember?
You see, I have decided to take a mature approach to Valentine's Day and deal with it.
After all, I've been through it as a single for the past 17 years.
Does it not come as a surprise to you?

Anyway, being in Pavilion this afternoon, it was a total typhoon of couples celebrating their romantic relationships with the typical gifts of roses, chocolates and teddy bears.
So sweet, isn't it?

Anyway, I know many who are single. And I don't know whether some certain people are still single.

Thing is, today was rather usual, no differences. Then as I was happily reading a book, she sms-ed me.

A simple 2-word wish, and a smile. Nothing more. Brief, short, simple.
Yet to me, it made all the difference.
I guess she does have some time for me after all.

Driver's Ed

Yeah, I just did my Undang Seminar today.

It was ok. I only slept for about a few minutes.
The rest was spent either laughing or paying close attention.

Mind you, I didn't go to the seminar with any friends.
I was the only one to sit in the front row for the 1st half.

The teacher from the 2nd half told others to sit up front.
I was no longer alone.

Strange thing was, I felt like I was one of the smarter ones in the class. I answered some qyuestions that I thought were relative knowledge, like what 'cc' means in an engine.

Don't know? It's Cubic Centimeters. It's engine jargon.

All in all, a good experience. Can't wait for the practical.
Unlike most of you buggers, I have no one to accompany me.

Time

Time.

It is something that is relevant to everyone.

People age with time. People forget in time.

Time affects everything.

Buildings, they demolish themselves into obliteration after being left for years,
decades, to be exact.

Metal rusts, trees fall, rivers dry up, only to be made anew.

I know, for I have experienced these things.

For me, time is irrelevant, for I have never aged.

No, I have seen Man's marvels. I have seen Man's foolishness.

The massacre of millions in 2 wars that almost brought the world itself into ruin.

Such idiocy, such foolhardiness.

But I am not alone. Time is irrelevant to others, too.

Just ask my friend, Eddy.

He, like me, never ages.

I enjoyed spending time with him. I enjoyed hanging out with his family.

Oh, such a lively bunch.

I loved playing baseball with them. Thunder always seemed to follow us whenever we played.

They were so hospitable to me. So kind. All 8 of them.

Eddy was never really fond of me calling him Eddy. His sister, Alice, loved it though.

She kept calling him Eddy in singsong. He wasn't amused. Then I started calling Alice as Ally.

Eddy laughed. Alice hugged me tightly. She loved it.

They all did.

Eddy, Emmy, Ally, Jaspy, Edmy, Rosy, Esmy, and Carly.

Edmy didn't like his too. It made him sound like a girl. The rest agreed, and happily called him Edmy.

It was nice, to be with them. I'll always remember them.

Especially Eddy Cully. He was a different guy altogether.

He and Emmy are such a cute couple.

High on Fun

The time is 6:33 a.m.

No, I didn't get up early.

I didn't sleep.

No one did, not at my place.
Well, except her. She's tired.

See, my parents decided to hold a semi-open-house, more like a gathering of sorts for this last day of Chinese New Year.
All my relatives came. Some of my parents' friends came too.

The whole thing started at about 7:30 p.m.
It went on with TV, cards and laptops.

All the adults, and some of the kids were busy gambling.
Then by 3 a.m some people left.

Still, almost 80% of the initial crowd is still here.
And some of the adults are quite high from the earlier beer and liquor.
They're a fun crowd.

She wanted to sleep, so she slept on the platform near the gambling table.
They were considerate enough not be too loud.
Then at about 3 a.m., she asked me to put a blanket on her.
I did, and the adults thought I was being a thoughtful gentleman.
I'm not disagreeing with them on that matter.

Now I'm next to her, blogging this entry as she's still dreaming.
She looks so cute when she's asleep.
This is the farthest I ever went without sleeping.
I think it's the same for the rest!

All I know is that all things considered, this is the best CNY party this year yet.
She's stirring now, just as the party's now ending.
Maybe I should wake her?
No, I'll leave her as it is. I'll let my princess rest.
It's the least I could do for her.

Oh, she woke up. An now they're leaving.
Sigh...She's so adorable even if she's groggy.
As she got up, I glanced at the mirror and looked at myself.
Will this face ever win her heart? When her heart already belongs to another?

I don't know. But as long as I can be close to her, even as just cousins,
It'll have to do. For now.
